Manure Management Planner

MyFarms is proud to partner with Purdue University and the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to bring you improved versions of the Manure Management Planner (MMP), which remains publicly available and free-of-charge. Here are the improvements that MMP v4.0.5 (published on May 27, 2026) affords relative to MMP v4.0.4 (published on June 14, 2024):

  • Utah – Added support for 95 new crops, updated crop removal rates, add STP value to P-Index Detail Report, and updated Utah’s P-Index logic so fields with High STP values (above 150 ppm) are given a High P-Index level.

  • Indiana – Added “NLI” value to soil data which impacts Indiana’s Off Site Risk Report.

  • Michigan – Added support for Rye Grass for a cover crop.

  • Waste Management Link – Updated out of date “Agricultural Waste Management Field Handbook, Chapter 11” URL for the following states: Arkansas, California, Florida, Louisiana, Montana, Nevada, and Wyoming. URL is located in the CNMP document, section 3.4.

  • Soil Info - The SSURGO soil type data was updated on 4/29/2026 for all states in MMP. This update can be observed by clicking "Fields" then "Soil Info" and reading the "Soil File Rev" date in the upper right corner.

The MMP team aims to serve and empower the U.S. agricultural community through world-class support, so please reach out if you have any questions or concerns about putting MMP to work in your part of the world. Click below to request a link to download the latest version of MMP.
